Certifications
Vanilla
The Sustainable Vanilla Initiative is a voluntary industry initiative launched in 2015. SVI aims to improve vanilla bean farmers’ livelihoods and assure the long-term stable supply of high-quality natural vanilla, with an initial focus on Madagascar where 80% of the vanilla world supply is grown.
By becoming a member of SVI in February 2019, Blommer confirms its commitment to a sustainable vanilla supply chain and engages actively to progress issues of governance, traceability and labor rights. Together, members of the SVI represent more than 70% of the global vanilla supply. Blommer is joining forces with the rest of the industry to design, support and participate to pre-competitive projects with the goal of improving quality and traceability of natural vanilla, good market governance and the livelihoods of small holder farmers.

UTZ Certified Cocoa
In January 2018, UTZ merged with Rainforest Alliance. The two certifications are joining forces in response to the critical challenges facing humanity: deforestation, climate change, systemic poverty, and social inequity. They combine their respective strengths to build a future in which nature is protected and biodiversity flourishes; where farmers, workers, and communities prosper; and where sustainable land use and responsible business practices are the norm.
